Period 6 Anagenesis

Anadenesisis when a single species is transformed. Genetic changes sometimes grow within a specific segment of the species, but not in the entire species. After this happens, the species slowly starts to go its own way, taking over a new ecological niche. Finally, the organism becomes so different from other members that it can't interbreed with the rest. -AZ
